Margaret "Meg" Thomas Solomon
Margaret “Meg” Thomas Solomon is the owner of ABA Across Environments in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is a passionate advocate for neurodiversity and trauma-informed care. As an adjunct professor for both Elm’s College and Western Georgia University, she finds value in teaching the next generation of behavior analysts in the ways of compassionate practices. Growing up in Texas, Meg has always had a love for working with children, which began in her early years as a camp counselor. Before returning to the field of child development, she worked in renowned restaurants and retailers in Dallas and Los Angeles, California where she gained valuable experience in customer service and management. These experiences helped guide her more towards her values.
Meg's career took a deeply meaningful turn when she worked with children who had experienced abuse, neglect, or who were diagnosed with Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) at a specialized school in Southern California. There, she was introduced to the field of behavior while also learning more about how trauma and abuse can impact behavior and learning. She earned a Master's in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2015. She then went onto working in the clinical environment in Colorado. In 2018, Meg founded ABA Across Environments as a way to better support families whose children were not making gains across their most meaningful environments. Meg integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her practice, and also applies these principles in her own life, drawing from her experiences with ADHD and personal trauma.
A mother of two, Meg lives in Colorado Springs with her husband and children. She enjoys spending time outdoors fly fishing, hiking, and finds peace in reading and writing. Meg’s holistic approach to therapy is rooted in her dedication to helping others heal, grow, and embrace their authentic selves.
